As well as being listed by a number of companies for emergency response as an individual conservator, the studio works for a number specialist recovery companies including Document SOS and The Revival Company. They are experienced in the salvage and conservation of flood and fire damaged material.
Main areas for salvage work have included water-logged framed pictures, photographs, musical scores, books, prints and drawings.
Damaged works are often delivered wet and require an immediate response to prevent further mould damage, or objects sticking to the glass, warping and splitting frames. Once stabilised, the material is assessed, giving treatment proposals and costs for any conservation, restoration, framing or binding work needed to get the item back to its original state.
The studio is available at all times 24 hours a day, are able to respond immediately, and can call on a number of specialist assistants if necessary.

“Thank you also for the excellent job that you did on our photos — we were absolutely thrilled with the results. As you can imagine, the flood was a devestating blow for us and it was very exciting to receive everything back in such a beautiful state.”
